This is a drawing for a weekly artist email challenge. The topic was to do a drawing of a favorite artist or musician. I chose Screamin Jay Hawkins. He was a blues musician from the 50's to the 90's who was known for his humorous songs and wild stage show. I had wanted to do a picture of him a long time ago for a class project, but just ended up not choosing him as the subject. So I guess it was a long time overdue. If you have not heard of him before google for more information or go to youtube and check out some videos that are currently up.
